THE ADVENTURES:

MISSIONS FOR THE BRAVE

At the John Brannon House, the 8 acres are just the beginning. We’ve outfitted the property to be your private outfitter—providing the gear you need to command the land, the lake, and the road.

The Official Rules of the Kingdom

  • The Creek Baptism is Mandatory: At least one person in your party must brave the mountain water.

  • Document the Discovery: If you unearth a bone or catch a fish, it didn't happen without a photo.

  • The Squirrels are in Charge: Respect the local wildlife; they were here first.

The Fleet: Bicycles, Boards, and Rods

We provide the equipment so you can focus on the exploration. No rentals, no roof racks, and no hassle.

  • The Bicycle Corps: We have 3 Adult Bicycles and 3 Child Bicycles ready for a 4-minute cruise down to Minerva Lake or a morning scout of the local roads.

  • Lake Command: Grab our Paddle Boards for a session on the glass-still water of Minerva Lake.

  • The Catch: Our Fishing Rods and tackle are ready for the creek or the lakefront. Whether you’re chasing a legendary bass or teaching the kids to cast, the gear is waiting.

The Scavenger Hunt: The Water Gun Vault

We don’t just hand over the arsenal; you have to earn it. Somewhere on the ridge sits a locked Treasure Chest packed with a legendary collection of high-powered water guns.

  • The Mission: Follow the handwritten clues scattered from the porch to the tree line to uncover the combination.

  • The Reward: Total tactical dominance for the duration of your stay.

The Brannon Bone Yard: Dinosaur Excavation

Legend has it that John Brannon stumbled upon something "colossal" while digging his original foundation. We’ve cordoned off a section of the property for the next generation of archeologists.

  • The Mission: Use the brushes and shovels provided in the Excavation Zone to unearth a prehistoric skeleton hidden beneath the Adirondack soil.

The Search for "Pocket Monsters"

John Brannon wasn’t the only resident of these 8 acres. Hidden in the secret nooks of the house—under stairs, behind beams, and tucked into the rafters—are a series of Hidden Monsters.

  • The Mission: Use the master checklist in the kitchen to locate every creature. Some are easy; others require a true explorer’s eye.

The Passage & The Property Trails

Our private on-property trails lead directly into the vast expanse of the Adirondack State Land.

  • The Hunt for the Passage: Legend says if you follow the sound of the wind deep enough, you’ll find The Passage—a shortcut through time where the berries are always ripe, the mosquitoes never bite, and the air smells faintly of expensive bourbon.
