Leap Fun Club: A Story of Growth and Engagement
Leap Fun Club emerged from my vision as a local parent and coach to fill a critical gap in Croton and surrounding areas—providing active, engaging afterschool activities for children. Inspired by the encouraging phrase “Show Teeth,” which signifies resilience and happiness.
In October 2023, Leap Fun Club opened its doors in a modestly sized space, initially welcoming six children—four of whom were the founders' own. This was the beginning of a journey aimed not just at childcare but at molding young minds through adventure and play.
From its humble beginnings, the club quickly demonstrated its value to the community. By the end of the first school year, daily attendance had soared to over 30 children. The business also provided significant local employment opportunities, hiring 15% of the freshman class at the local high school for their first jobs. Remarkably, the club was profitable from its first month, reflecting strong community support and effective management.
Building on its initial success, the 2024/25 school year marks a significant expansion. Through negotiations with local school authorities, Leap Fun Club secured a space within the elementary school, enhancing accessibility and integration with the school community. This strategic move is set to double the club’s enrollment to more than 60 students, with a monthly recurring revenue (MRR) of $30,000.
Looking ahead, Leap Fun Club is poised for even greater expansion. The upcoming launch of a summer camp program is eagerly anticipated. Long-term plans are ambitious, including exploring a franchise model and authoring a “Show Teeth” youth coaching book, which will encapsulate the philosophy behind the club’s success.
